I have always been drawn toward the colors in the sky, the glow just as the sun is rising or about to set. The yellow- orange- pink- purple- blue- combinations are breathtaking and limitless.

I try to re-create a feeling in my paintings rather than what I actually see. There is room for individual interpretation and although most of my landscapes are impressionistic and expressive, some paintings border on the abstract.

Whether the inspiration is a literal place or a feeling from my imagination, these are the colors that never fail me, they translate the beauty in the silence and tranquility of nature, as well as the cycle of life in days and nights accounting for the passing of time, more accurate than any words.
